Local restaurant owner raises concerns about proposed minimum wage hike

TULSA, Okla. — A longtime local business in Tulsa is weighing in on the debate around whether or not to raise the state minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Multiple business owners said they are worried about the large jump in minimum wage in just the first year.

“We try to pay them as best we can, and we expect good quality work out of them,” said Arnold’s Hamburgers owner Frank Arnold. “As long as they provide that, we’re going to try to keep them and that’s what I’m saying. There’s a competition between businesses for good help.”…
