South Tulsa intersection to close for months as major road project begins
TULSA, Okla. – A major road construction project aimed at reducing flooding and improving traffic flow is set to begin Monday in south Tulsa, bringing a long-term closure to one of the area’s busiest intersections.
The intersection at 101st Street and Garnett Road will be closed for an estimated three to six months while Tulsa County crews complete a major reconstruction project.
Long-Standing Flooding Problem Targeted
The intersection has experienced repeated flooding during heavy rain events for years, creating safety concerns for drivers and disrupting traffic.
