SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Despite heavy rain early Saturday morning, families still showed up to cast their lines at the 35th Annual Sand Springs Kids Fishing Derby.
The event, held for children ages 4 to 12, drew more than 250 people from across the Sand Springs community. This year also marked the first partnership between derby organizers and the Sand Springs Police Department.
