TULSA, Okla. – A multi-agency pursuit that stretched across several miles and into a highway construction zone ended with the arrest of a man who police say threatened a local bar owner and claimed he would go down in a “blaze of glory” with police.
Gavin J. Thorenson, 35, was arrested on multiple charges following the Thursday evening chase that involved the Tulsa Police Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The incident began around 5:23 p.m. when Tulsa officers responded to a disturbance at the Bounty Lounge Bar near 31st Street and Sheridan Road. According to police, Thorenson refused to show identification or leave the establishment. He then allegedly made threats of violence, telling the bar owner that he was going to get a gun to confront police and would go out in a “blaze of glory.”…
