BA nonprofit hosts community scavenger hunt benefiting Oklahoma children

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — A local Oklahoma nonprofit is hosting a community-wide scavenger hunt in Broken Arrow’s Rose District.

Real Okie Superheroes (ROS) is a nonprofit dedicated to encouraging local families and children. The nonprofit’s inaugural community scavenger hunt, Smashed Superhero Hunt, is meant to foster community and give children “a reason to smile.”

“The Smashes Superhero Hunt is about more than finding a prize,” said ROS Founder, Arlene Laxamana-Jardine. “It’s about bringing our community together to have fun while helping children who need a reason to smile. Every toy donated represents kindness, compassion, and the belief that ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference in a child’s life. Our partnership with Smashed and The Chocolate Shop by Nouveau is very special. They provide parties for our ROS families at Smashed and we have been gifted chocolate  to hand out at Saint Francis Children’s Hospital as well as the nursing homes we visit at Christmas time.”…
