Tulsa’s FreedomFest 2026: What to know before you go

TULSA, Okla. – Folds of Honor FreedomFest 2026 celebrates the 50th anniversary of River Parks’ annual Independence Day event, which began with Festival ’76 during the nation’s bicentennial celebration. The event also coincides with America’s 250th anniversary and Route 66’s centennial.

Ryan Howe with River Parks Authority joined News on 6 at 9 a.m. to share what visitors need to know before they go.

Here’s what to expect

Howe said organizers are preparing for hot weather by adding cooling options throughout the festival.
