OU Health performs Oklahoma’s first CardioMEMS implant in adult congenital heart patient
TULSA, Okla. – OU Health has become the first hospital in Oklahoma to implant a CardioMEMS heart monitoring device in an adult born with congenital heart disease.
The minimally invasive technology allows doctors to remotely monitor pressure inside the lungs and detect early signs of worsening heart failure before symptoms become severe, helping patients avoid hospitalizations.
