BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The extreme heat gripping Green Country isn’t just uncomfortable for people — it’s putting stress on local beehives, according to a Tulsa beekeeper who says the effects could eventually be felt at the grocery store.
James Deming is the head beekeeper at Shadow Mountain Honey Company, a family-run operation that tends about 200 hives across 19 apiaries in the Tulsa area.
