TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Public Schools is encouraging multilingual students to apply for the district’s Seal of Biliteracy, which recognizes students who demonstrate proficiency in more than one language.
Sophomores, juniors and seniors can apply online through the Seal of Biliteracy page. The student application deadline is Friday, Oct. 9, 2026.
What students need to qualify
Students must provide evidence of their English skills and demonstrate proficiency in another language.
To qualify, students need:
- An English proficiency score: This can include scores from the SAT, ACT, WIDA ACCESS or other qualifying assessments.
- A second-language proficiency score: Students who apply by Oct. 9 will take a language assessment at their high school between November and January.
The language assessment includes four sections: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students must score at least Intermediate-mid in all four sections to qualify for the Seal of Biliteracy…
