Guests, employees evacuated at hotel near 31st and Memorial after reported chlorine mistake

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Fire Department (TFD) said around 50 guests and employees were evacuated at a hotel near 31st and Memorial after a reported mistake with chlorine.

Two hazmat trucks are on the scene of the Embassy Suites, near 31st and Memorial, according to TFD.

According to TFD, initial reports say an employee working in the pool room made a mistake with the chlorine.

The CDC said e xposure to chlorine may cause burning of the eyes, nose, and throat, coughing, difficulty breathing and other symptoms.
