Two teens, 13 and 16, in custody after leading police chase in east Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police say two teens, 13 and 16, are in custody after a police chase in east Tulsa on Friday.

Police said around 3:35 p.m., officers tried to pull over a stolen red Hyundai Elantra for a traffic stop near 21st and 129th East Avenue. They say the driver refused to stop and the chase started.

The suspect hit a several cars at the start of the chase, intentionally ramming at least one of them.

Police said the car was rolling on rims with no tires left. They said the suspect was losing control but kept going.

The chase ended in a cul-de-sac near East 15th Street and 129th Avenue with a 13-year-old boy driving and a 16-year-old female passenger.

One officer sustained minor injuries during the chase and was taken to the hospital. No other injuries are reported at this time, police said.
