Tulsa Police and vendors both told FOX23 that Newby ordered a bunch of wedding services in the Tulsa Metro, signed contracts, and then refused to pay for the services she ordered, like wedding invitations and engagement photos.

“Sometimes there’s misunderstandings. In this case, there was basically a time period of about three to four months where there were attempts to make the payment and all the attempts didn’t go through,” police told FOX23.

Newby is facing one felony count of  obtaining services of more than $1,000 through false pretenses or a con game.

She has since bonded out of jail.

FOX23 will continue to follow the case.
