MUSKOGEE, Okla. – A jury has found Dayan Banks guilty of First Degree Murder and Desecration of a Human Corpse in the murder of his wife Tamara Lynn Banks.
In Oct. 2021 Muskogee Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at the Banks home in Haskell, Oklahoma. Two days later Tamera Banks filed a protective order against her husband.
Dayan Banks was served but Tamera Banks did not show up for the hearing a few weeks later. Banks was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Tamera Banks was last seen on Nov. 15th 2021. Police believe Dayan Banks murdered his wife and burned her body and disposed of all human remains.
Tamera Banks body has yet to be found.
The jury has recommended life without parole for Dayan Banks.
