TULSA, Okla. — A 21-year-old man was sentenced to 40 years in prison for a deadly 2021 stabbing.
The Tulsa Police Department said Juan Odillio Guerra-Vasquez was arrested on Dec. 30, 2021 , for the stabbing death of Lalo Ledezma.

According to police, on Dec. 29, 2021 , they were called out to Peoria and Independence, just down the street from the Outsiders House Museum, and found Ledezma, who had been stabbed multiple times.
Police said Guerra-Vasquez was arrested the following day and was taken to the Detective Division, where, police said, he confessed to homicide detectives.
Now, a little over two years later, Guerra-Vasquez has been sentenced in court.
According to court records, Guerra-Vasquez was originally charged with first degree murder and pleaded guilty on Jan. 19, 2024.
Court records said Guerra-Vasquez was sentenced to 40 years in prison for first degree manslaughter, which was amended from his original first-degree murder charge.
Guerra-Vasquez will also receive credit for time served.
