Tulsa Police arrest man wanted for murder of 65-year-old man

UPDATE (1/31/24) — Tulsa Police arrested a man who was wanted for the murder of a 65-year-old man on Wednesday.

Police said 38-year-old Joseph Arndt was arrested for an outstanding robbery warrant and also wanted for the murder of 65-year-old Cecil Busby, whose body was found on Jan. 21. Arndt was arrested near East 71st Street and South 89th East Avenue.

Arndt was booked into Tulsa County Jail on charges of first degree murder.


TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police are investigating a homicide after finding a man dead at a house near Admiral and Memorial.

Police said officers were called to check on the well-being of 65-year-old Cecil Busby around 7 p.m. on Sunday. They said he was dead when officers arrived.

Police also said Busby’s car, a Red/Maroon Nissan Juke, was missing and believed to be stolen. The license plate is an Oklahoma tag and the number is ODU-291, police said.

Police say anyone who sees the car should call 911.
