OWASSO, Okla. — Animal Aid of Tulsa is thankful for the community after they say a missing dog, Gretchen, was found.
Gretchen, a black and white Border Collie mix, had escaped from her foster home last Friday. She was seen Saturday near 96th St N & Garnett in Owasso.
The nonprofit animal welfare organization was asking the community for help finding Gretchen, who they described as injured and scared.
“Gretchen is injured and the worst thing for her is to be running around out of fear. She is likely hiding or hunkered down somewhere, trying to be invisible. That’s why we need as many eyes as possible looking for her,” Animal Aid Executive Director Maggie Brown said.
Volunteers began posting flyers and sharing Gretchen’s photo around the community.
On Thursday, Animal Aid of Tulsa reached out to FOX23 and said Gretchen was found. Animal Aid said Gretchen will be treated by a veterinarian and returned to her foster home.
In a Facebook post, the nonprofit thanked everyone who helped find Gretchen.
