TULSA, Okla. — A University of Tulsa (TU) employee was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly selling several pieces of equipment on Facebook, according to police reports.
Tulsa Police Department (TPD) received reports that Oluwafemi Abioye had listed two under-counter refrigerators and an induction stove for sale.
Another TU employee was searching for similar equipment for a catering business and found the items being sold.
According to police reports, the equipment was set aside while the student union was under renovation before it was stolen.
Abioye admitted to stealing the items and claimed he thought the items would be thrown away, although he did not have permission to take them.
Abioye was arrested for embezzlement by employee and booked into Tulsa County jail.
