UPDATE (2/1/24) — Sodergren appeared in court on Thursday to enter a blind plea under recommendation from the state, but the judge refused her plea.

The court asked Sodergren several questions, but they couldn’t seem to get a coherent answer. The court then ordered the state to have a competency evaluation done.
The results of the evaluation will be released next week. FOX23 will follow up once those details are released.

On April 30, 2023, a vehicle crash near Yale and 41st turned fatal after Stephanie Sodergren allegedly hit another driver who had the green light.
A police report details that multiple witnesses saw a black Kia Optima, driven by Sodergren, fail to stop at a red light and crash into a maroon Ford Taurus, driven by the victim Teddy Bogle.
Bogle died from injuries sustained in the crash.
