Oklahoma rattled by 5.1 magnitude earthquake as residents report shaking from Lawton to Tulsa after 8 smaller tremors

A 5.1-MAGNITUDE earthquake has rocked the entire state of Oklahoma.

The earth-shaking tremors rippled through the state on Friday night just before midnight.

According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake was centered 4.9 miles northwest of Prague, Oklahoma, about an hour east of Oklahoma City.

It could be felt at around 11.24 pm.

Residents in Shawnee, Stillwater and Tecumseh all reported feeling the initial quake, according to KFOR.

At least eight tremors followed the 5.1 magnitude earthquake.

It’s unclear how much damage the earthquake caused.
