TULSA COUNTY, Okla. — A man was arrested after deputies said he shot at an SUV while at a Turley recycling business on Wednesday.
The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested Tracy Roosevelt Lawrence for shooting with the intent to kill.
Deputies said a black SUV was leaving the recycling business on Wednesday when Lawrence showed up, attempting to stop them from leaving.
Lawrence then accused the three people inside the SUV of stealing copper from him. The SUV tried to drive away, but Lawrence jumped on top of the vehicle as it drove north on Peoria, deputies said.
While Lawrence was on the hood of the SUV, deputies said he fired several shots into the vehicle, but no one was injured.
Lawrence was later found and arrested at a dispensary near East 63rd and North Peoria.
He was booked in to Tulsa County jail, but was shortly released on a $75,000 bond.
TCSO said the investigation into the copper theft Lawrence claimed took place is under investigation.
