Rideshare driver urging other Tulsa residents to report potholes to the city

TULSA, Okla. — A rideshare driver is sharing his experience and is asking Tulsans to help him inform the city of any issues they see on the roadways.

The city’s Tulsa311 app allows people to report various things, like potholes.

“Let’s use it. Money was generated to use the app,” said James Knight. “It’s very easy and efficient.”

Knight drives for Uber and Lyft. He said he’s noticed more potholes since our last bout of winter weather.

“These are large, dangerous potholes, too,” Knight said.

He’s started using the Tulsa311 app to alert the city of where potholes are located. He said within hours at times, the potholes have been filled.

“Pothole repair is more of a professional repair than what you see with an asphalt driver throwing in the patch and beating it down, this is more of a permanent repair,” Knight said.

The app can be used for any issues. From stranded cars or something else you might find that needs to be addressed. Knight said if everyone will do their part, it’ll make Tulsa even better.
