Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office searching for arson suspect

COWETA, Okla. — The Wagoner County Sherriff’s Office is searching for a suspect who set a car on fire in Coweta.

WCSO said deputies responded to a house near South 326th East Avenue and South 332nd East Avenue at 11:27 p.m. on Sept. 17 after reports of a vehicle fire.

The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when deputies arrived.

The vehicle owner told WCSO they heard a loud thud, then discovered their car was on fire. The owner had video footage of the property and provided it to deputies.

In the video, a four door sedan is seen stopping near victim’s vehicle. A person gets out and sets something on fire near the vehicle, then drives away.

The victim told deputies they don’t know who would want to burn their vehicle.
