Google gives Tulsa-based nonprofit supporting those impacted by human trafficking and abuse $125,000 grant

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Google has given The Spring, a Tulsa-based nonprofit that provides services to people impacted by domestic violence and human trafficking, a $125,000 grant.

“Google’s support through this grant means more services and programming for our neighbors in need, said Leslie Clingenpeel, executive director of The Spring. “This will make a significant difference in the lives of the people we serve on their journey out of abuse. As we continue to expand our capacity, we aim to provide comprehensive care and equip those we serve with the tools they need to thrive.”

The grant will help support The Spring’s mission to provide safe shelter, counseling, legal assistance and other essential resources to individuals who have faced abuse.

Andrew Silvestri, Google’s head of public policy and community engagement in Oklahoma, said, “The Spring brings together essential services and programs that help make a tangible differences in our community. They offer hope and a safe haven for those in need, and Google is honored to support its important work.”
