TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said a man was arrested after he was caught stealing electronics and medication from a midtown Tulsa home Monday morning.
Police say officers responded to a burglary at a home near South Utica Avenue and East 13th Street around 9:30 a.m.
The homeowner told police she was in her house working when she noticed a man at her back bedroom window adjusting the screen.
The man rode away on a bicycle when he spotted the homeowner.
The homeowner told police she knew the man had been in her house because he dropped her purse and other items while running away.
Police say officers were on scene within minutes and found the suspect, Dennis Dubois, down the street from the home.
Officers recovered prescription medication, a hard drive, a laptop, a Bluetooth speaker and an iPhone with Dubois. Police say the stolen items were returned to the victim.
Dubois was arrested for first degree burglary and had an outstanding warrant related to a separate case of second degree burglary.
