OHP: 35-year-old man dead after being hit by car in Rogers County

ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. — Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) responded to a deadly auto-pedestrian collision on Saturday morning near OK-66 less than a mile north of Claremore.

OHP said a Jeep driven by Jodi Keith, age 50, from Big Cabin, hit a man as he attempted to run across OK-66.

The man, 35-year-old Christopher Martin from Claremore was taken to Hillcrest Hospital in Claremore before being transported to St. John in Tulsa.

He was pronounced dead on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 2:13 p.m. by St. John hospital staff.

Neither Keith or her unnamed 17-year-old passenger were injured in the collision.

OHP is still investigating and FOX23 will continue to provide updates as we learn more information.
