Prosecutors in Tulsa have charged a woman with child neglect in the death of her 4-month-old child. Police say Savawna Bowen knew the baby was seriously hurt, but waited several days before taking him to the hospital. When the baby was finally taken for medical help, he had a broken jaw, broken ribs, a broken leg, and severe brain injuries. The child died just a few days after being taken to the hospital in January of last year. Investigators say Bowen searched the internet for terms such as “baby’s femur is sticking out” in the days before seeking medical attention.
