UPDATE (1/7/25) — A woman who forced a car off the I-44 bridge into the Arkansas River in 2023 pleaded guilty.
Rashaun Lashelle Parker was given a five year suspended sentence for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
FOX23 reported when Parker repeatedly swerved into another car, forcing it off the bridge. The other driver was OK.
Parker told FOX23 she had road rage because the other driver vandalized her family’s property but she didn’t mean to send her car into the river.
A restitution hearing is set for Feb. 7.
TULSA, Okla. — A woman is in custody after a road rage incident forced a car off the bridge on I-44 Monday.
Rashaun Lashelle Parker, 40, was booked on an assault with a deadly weapon charge in connection with the incident. Parker is accused of repeatedly swerving into another driver, ultimately sending that driver down into the river.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said Parker was driving a 2012 Hyundai Sonata and refused treatment at the scene.
