37-year-old woman dies in fiery crash Friday night near Ponca City

PONCA CITY, Okla. ( KFOR ) — A 37-year-old woman died late Friday night following a fiery crash near Ponca City.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) officials say the crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Friday near U.S. 77 and Coleman Road, one mile north of Ponca City.

Shannon Laird, who was traveling east in a 2009 Pontiac on Coleman Road, did not yield at a stop sign and proceeded to cross in front of another car, which was traveling south on U.S. 77, before being hit by a driver in a 2023 Hyundai, according to OHP.
