OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okla. — Crews in Okmulgee County are assessing damage near Highway 52 following storms Sunday morning.
Okmulgee County Emergency Management said East Central Electric and Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) are cleaning up down power lines from wind near Highway 52 and Gun Club Road.
A roof was blown off a barn and downed powerlines fell in the road at North 310 Road and Bald Hill Road. Emergency management said the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded after a car drove into the downed power lines. Injuries in the crash are unknown due to the occupants leaving the scene.
Downed powerlines have also closed Highway 52 at both McKinley Road and Smith Road. Emergency management said it will take crews hours to make repairs and asks drivers to avoid the area…
