TULSA, Okla. — The Myanmar earthquake hits home for a lot of people in Green Country.
Tulsa is believed to be the home to the largest population of Zomi people (an ethnic minority group with roots mainly in Myanmar and India) in the United States. Somewhere between 7,000 to 9,000 Zomi people live in Tulsa.
One Zomi man in Tulsa who lived the majority of his life in Myanmar said the earthquake has had a profound effect on him.
