Tulsa councilors push for better 911 response times after deadly crash highlights issues

TULSA, OKLA (KTUL) — Some Tulsa City Councilors are raising concerns about the 911 dispatch response times and want to see changes.

“When you call 911 you want someone to pick up. That’s your lifeline,” Captain Richard Muhlenberg with Tulsa Police said. He adds response times are always a concern. “It always is.”

Response times is from the time a 911 call goes out to when first responders arrive to the scene. The question concerning response times comes after reports show how long it took crews to arrive on the scene of a deadly crash that killed two Holland Hall students in February…
