Coweta Police discuss realities of doing police work in a small community

COWETA, Okla. — One of FOX23’s photojournalists had the opportunity to do a ride-along with a Coweta Police Officer while he discussed the realities of doing police work in a small community.

“For a smaller police community, we do the basic patrol around areas,” said Coweta Patrol Officer Troy Little. “We try to be as proactive as possible and we do basically the same thing that larger cities do. We respond to the same type of crimes and we investigate and we do all that. We also help our citizens too that need our assistance. There’s just a lot of daily functions that we kind of operate on. We definitely, like I said, try to be as proactive as possible.”
