TULSA, OKLA. (KTUL) — A legal dispute between two Oklahoma school districts and the State Board of Education (OSBE) has come to a close, following a joint order of dismissal approved during Thursday’s board meeting.
Jenks and Bristow Public Schools each filed lawsuits last year challenging OSBE’s decisions to overturn the districts’ denials of out-of-district student transfers. Both cases stemmed from concerns over student behavior and district-level decisions that were ultimately reversed by the state board.
