OWASSO, Okla. — The 138th Fighter Wing named one of its F-16 fighter jets “The Spirit of Owasso.”
The fighter jet was given the name to recognize the vital role Owasso plays in supporting service members and the importance of Owasso to the 138th Fighter Wing’s service to the community and nation.
The 138th Fighter Wing was organized in December of 1940 as Oklahoma National Guard’s first flying unit. You can learn more about the wing by clicking here.
