Two in custody in unlicensed dentistry investigation

TULSA, Okla. (KFOR) – According to the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, two people are in custody in connection to an unlicensed dentistry investigation.

Officials say the OBN, Oklahoma Dental Board and Homeland Security Investigations served a search warrant at an apartment complex in the 10900 block of East 61st St. on Wednesday.

According to OBN, the warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into someone practicing unlicensed dentistry, as well as supplying drugs out of their apartment. A man and a woman have been taken into custody in connection to the case.

“This was an outstanding cooperative investigation with OBN, our partners at the Oklahoma Dental Board, and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) to stop this individual from further endangering anyone else. For someone to perform medical procedures and administer drugs in this manner is an extreme and potentially life-threatening disregard for the health and safety of the vulnerable patients in their care.” said OBN Director Donnie Anderson.

No more information is available as the investigation continues…
