Mexican National Sentenced to 22.5 Years for Meth Trafficking and Weapon Charges in Tulsa

Marcos Javier Suazo-Mancilla, a 23-year-old Mexican national, has been sentenced to 22.5 years in prison for his role in a drug trafficking case. The conviction follows a law enforcement investigation that led to the discovery of over 65 pounds of methamphetamine and seven firearms at two different locations, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

In October 2024, the DEA launched an investigation into a drug trafficking network operating in the Tulsa area. It soon led agents to focus on Marcos Javier Suazo-Mancilla and his residence as a key part of the operation. As per the press release, a search warrant executed at the suspected residence uncovered clear evidence of drug distribution—including approximately 26 pounds of methamphetamine, 41 grams of cocaine, multiple firearms, and over $9,000 in cash.

The scale of the operation became more evident when law enforcement raided an auto body shop rented by the trafficking organization, where they discovered an additional 39 pounds of methamphetamine. Suazo-Mancilla was already known to U.S. authorities, having been previously deported in August 2018. He now faces the prospect of removal proceedings once his prison term is complete.
