Dryer catches on fire in east Tulsa house, TFD shares dryer safety tips

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Fire Department responded to a house fire in east Tulsa Tuesday morning after a dryer caught on fire.

TFD said just before 8 a.m., firefighters responded to the house near East 16th Street and South Garnett Road.

The caller reported their dryer caught on fire while doing laundry and a smoke alarm activated, alerting them to call 911.

Firefighters entered the home to investigate and quickly found the source, although there was no visible fire or smoke outside…
