TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa International Airport (TUL) celebrated National Aviation Day with a special planespotting event.
National Aviation Day is celebrated on August 19th corresponding with the birthday of Orville Wright, who is credited as flying the world’s first successful airplane alongside his brother Wilbur Wright.
To celebrate the upcoming day, the airport welcomed content creators and photographers from the Tulsa area to a location near Tulsa’s main 10,000 foot runway where they could take pictures and videos of the planes departing and arriving at the airport.
According to the airport, many of the individuals invited to the event are local planespotters who often share aviation content from the airport with online global aviation communities…
