TULSA, Okla. — The Homeward Bound Tattoo Expo is once again celebrating the art of tattooing at the Osage Casino this weekend.
“We have over 200 artists coming from around the world,” said Danielle Hicks, a tattoo artist and organizer for the Homeward Bound Tattoo Expo. “We bring them here to Tulsa to tattoo, so instead of people having to travel to go to their favorite artist, we bring them here. A big part of it is just bringing art to Tulsa. I feel Tulsa has a really big art community, so being able to do this here is really special. Everybody has their own different styles, so there’s so many things to choose from. We also have vendors, like Black Moth behind me…It’s just a way to bring everybody together for something that’s just really important to us, which is art.”
The tattoo expo is held twice a year in August and March. This weekend marks the expo’s ninth show…
