Deputies arrest Tulsa man accused of striking firefighter with vehicle

TULSA, OKLA. (KTUL) — A Tulsa man was arrested on Monday and accused of intentionally striking a firefighter with his vehicle.

Wagoner County deputies were called to the 7200 block of N. 50th St. W., at 10:45 a.m., in reference to a reported structure fire and the vehicular assault of a Tullahassee volunteer firefighter.

The deputies saw the residence engulfed in flames and a gray in color sedan that was occupied by a Hispanic male. After deputies interviewed the victim and volunteer firefighters, it was discovered that when the fire department arrived, they made an attempt to extinguish the fire. As they were doing so, the suspect hit one of the volunteer firefighters with his vehicle, knocking them onto the ground. The firefighter got back up and continued to extinguish the flames…
