“One life was too many” Glenpool community demands action after fatal accidents on Hwy 67

GLENPOOL, OKLA (KTUL) — The tragic death of a 9-year-old Glenpool student has sparked demands for safety improvements on State Highway 67.

The child was killed at the intersection of 151st Street and Fern on Sept. 8, and a subsequent crash days later, though non-fatal, has intensified calls for change.

Cassie Pound, a family friend, expressed the community’s frustration, saying, “This should have never happened. Talyn Bain was a fourth grader who should have been playing football this weekend. He should have been at practice… and we’ve asked year after year, and nothing’s happened, and we’re not letting this go this time.”…
