The Growler Pines Tiger Preserve confirmed the death of caretaker Ryan Easley, who lost his life in an accident involving a tiger under his care on Saturday.
In a statement posted to Facebook, the preserve described Easley as a passionate advocate for wildlife conservation, especially big cats. Staff said he dedicated his life to protecting and caring for animals, calling his work “a calling, his passion and his life’s purpose.”
“His courage, compassion and unwavering commitment to wildlife will never be forgotten,” the statement said.
