TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Parks and Recreation Board presented a resolution last Wednesday in support of returning the Council Oak Park and Stickball Park to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
The resolution comes with an agreement that the City of Tulsa recognizes the historical significance of these two areas for the tribe and has agreed to allow their return to the tribe.
With this understanding, the city and the tribe both agree that these parks remain open to the public…
