Teen Dies by Suicide After Taking Tulsa Officer’s Gun During Archery Class, Officials Say

Authorities in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, say a 17-year-old boy died Tuesday night from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after taking a police officer’s gun during an archery class at the Tulsa Boys Home.The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a 911 call just before 9:25 p.m. about a shooting involving a teenager. The class was being led by two off-duty Tulsa police officers inside the facility’s gym when the incident occurred.Investigators say the teen approached one of the officers from behind, removed the gun from the officer’s holster, and then took his own life.
