TULSA, OKLA. (KTUL) — As Oklahoma families brace for upcoming cuts to SNAP benefits beginning November 1, Family & Children’s Services (FCS) in Tulsa is stepping in to help fill the gap for those who may struggle to put food on the table.
The Tulsa-based nonprofit, which has served the community for more than a century, is closely monitoring how reduced food assistance could affect local families — not only financially, but emotionally.
