TULSA, Okla. – The federal trial of a Grove man charged with killing an infant is going into its fifth day.
Jordan Payne, 31, is charged with second-degree murder and child neglect in Indian Country in the death of Rachel Tymprance-Jane Simpson.
Payne’s trial started on Monday in the U.S. Federal Court in Tulsa. Prosecutors are expected to call 37 witnesses, according to a 19-page trial brief filed on October 27. Melissa Foreman, the child’s mother, testified for most of the day Tuesday.
