Tulsa steps up to assist families with utility grace period amid federal shutdown

TULSA, OKLA (KTUL) — While the federal government remains at a standstill, local cities and organizations in Tulsa are stepping up, offering help to families struggling to keep their utilities on.

The City of Tulsa, in partnership with the Tulsa Metropolitan Utility Authority announcing a temporary utility payment grace period through January 31st for residents who are furloughed federal employees or rely on SNAP benefits, struggling to pay their utility bills.
