TULSA, Okla. – What began as an accidental group text has turned into a Thanksgiving invitation for aTulsa woman, Abbie de Vera who spent more than two years unknowingly included in the wrong family’s messages.
The mix-up started when a Sand Springs police contact, Todd Enzbrenner, mistakenly added her to his family’s group chat, believing he was sending updates to his daughter, who also happens to also be named Abbie. She was removed once, but two weeks later, she was added right back in.
For the next two years, she quietly received a steady stream of family updates, ranging from the touching to the mundane: messages about a beloved family dog that passed away, a sick horse, backyard barbecues, Easter gatherings and everyday moments from people she had never met…
