TEXAS — A refreshing cold front is moving through Oklahoma and Texas, bringing a sharp temperature drop Friday night into Saturday morning. Many areas will wake up to “feels-like” temperatures in the 20s, 30s, and 40s, a noticeable change from the recent stretch of mild fall weather.
According to forecasters, the front will push south overnight, delivering crisp, cool air from Oklahoma City and Tulsa down to Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. The cooler conditions will be most pronounced across northern Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle, where some areas could dip into the upper 20s before sunrise.

- Oklahoma City / Tulsa: 20s and low 30s
- Dallas-Fort Worth area: mid-30s to low 40s
- Austin and San Antonio: low to mid-40s

“It’s going to be one of those nights when you can crack open the windows,” meteorologists noted. “Saturday morning will feel refreshing and much cooler compared to earlier this week.”

The cold air mass behind the front will continue to move eastward, keeping temperatures cool through early Saturday. The “feels-like” temperatures, influenced by a light north wind, could make the morning feel 10 to 15 degrees colder than the actual readings.
By Saturday afternoon, sunshine will return, and most of Texas will warm into the upper 50s and 60s, while Oklahoma remains in the 40s and low 50s.
