Catoosa Winterfest kicks off Sunday with tree lighting

TULSA, OKLA. (KTUL) — Catoosa Winterfest kicks off Sunday, Nov. 30, with the annual Christmas tree lighting at Catoosa’s Historical Society from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. This free community event will feature live music, a live nativity performed by Rock House Church, a campfire for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, festive lights, and activities for all ages.

The 2025 Winterfest is especially meaningful as Catoosa celebrates its 60th Annual Catoosa Christmas Parade during Oklahoma’s Route 66 centennial celebration. This year’s parade, themed “Christmas on Catoosa’s Route 66,” honors six decades of holiday tradition and community pride. The parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m., and will travel down Cherokee Street, one of Catoosa’s iconic stretches of historic Route 66.

Families can enjoy festive activities and drop off letters to Santa at the Old Post Office replica, where Santa’s elves will be collecting wish lists…
